You alone are the Lord.
You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars.
You made the earth and the seas and everything in them.
You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

Watching the memorial services for George H. W. Bush this week, I was struck how much Christianity was expressed. With so much criticism of anything Christian in our world and even in America today, I was so happy to see this. The Bushes were not ashamed to tell the world, as the world was certainly watching, that they believe in Christ, and heaven. The world was a better place because of President 41. Loved the music at his funeral in Texas.

Christmas is just a few days away. I know everyone is super busy but I'm pleased that many still find time to share here.

  1. I've actually been amazed at the amount of positive press around this whole event. I'm sure the family is feeling a huge loss at this time of year with both Barbara and George passing on in 2018.

  2. Charlotte, I deliver for Meals on Wheels. As I was bringing food in to one of our elderly recipients, she had the Bush funeral on TV. I had not been watching it. She asked me to stay a while and watch with her. As we talked, we both got choked up over what a good, decent man the former president was.

Your quote from Ephesians is one of my favorites.

  3. Thank you for sharing this - and thank you for hosting so faithfully.

  4. I was also amazed and moved by his funeral. May God comfort the family as they begin to grieve their great losses this year. Blessings!
