You alone are the Lord.
You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars.
You made the earth and the seas and everything in them.
You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

A few days ago we were reminded over and over again of what happened on 9/11/2001.  Never Forget was the motto. It occurred to me that there are many things in this life that we should never forget.  A lot of reasons come to my mind as I write this. I thought about listing some of them, but I'll let you make up your own list. What is it in your life that you want to never forget? At the top of my list would be to never forget that life is short at best and remember that what God has in store for those who love him is so great that we cannot even begin to comprehend it.

Some things need to be forgotten. We need to discern what needs to be remembered and what needs to be forgotten. My hope is that we can all remember this.

  1. Good point! We need to be able to determine in our won lives what should be remembered and what should be forgotten. I will never forget 9/11. I was teaching at the time, and had a room full of very scared teenagers.

  2. We are in the UK but we will never forget the date and what we witnessed on TV as that is our son's birthday

  3. I agree Charlotte - there are some things that shouldn't ever be forgotten and then there are some that should - we must all use discernment to determine which is which.

  4. I'll never forget the day of my salvation. That decision changed my life forever! I also believe there are things we need to forget, and the Lord is certainly able to help us do that.
