You alone are the Lord.
You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars.
You made the earth and the seas and everything in them.
You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

American Idol, Scott MacIntyre has an amazing story of hope. Besides being blind, he has had two kidney transplants. You may remember him from American Idol a few years ago. I wanted to share this video of Scott's with you this week. This young man is more than inspiring to me.

Thank you for sharing your inspirational posts with us. It's time to start linking again.

I don't really expect as many links this weekend. Why? It's Christmas. Everyone will be busy with friends and family. However, I could be wrong. More people might share this weekend than usual. We will see. Anyway, I wanted to give you the opportunity to link so let the linking begin.

I hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas.

Welcome Friends

Wanted to share this beautiful song with you this week. We were there at Scottsdale Bible Church at the Christmas program and heard it "live". Wish everyone could have been there. It was truly awesome.

Just a few days now until Christmas.  Thank you for being faithful in sharing on these busy days.

Welcome Back

Are you in the Christmas spirit yet? We just got our tree up and decorated and everywhere we go at this time of the year, we are reminded that Christmas time is here. If you are not quite in the mood yet, maybe listening to this beautiful version of "O Holy Night" sung by Susan Boyle will inspire you.

I have to admit that watching Christmas movies on the Hallmark Movie Channel has helped me get in the spirit of Christmas. I've always loved Christmas though, so it doesn't take much to get me in the mood.

Time to share some more inspiration. Who will be the first to link this week?

I'm totally embarrassed. Here it is Saturday night and I completely forgot to start the linking for this week. Yes, these are busy days but I can't believe I forgot. So, please forgive.

A little late, but now you can go ahead and link.

Welcome Back

I hope you all had a wonderful blessed Thanksgiving. This linky will open up on Black Friday this year. You will all probably be out shopping and won't have time for Spiritual Sundays. Just kidding. I know you will take time to share with us once again. So what is Black Friday? I thought I knew but Googled it to see what I could find. I couldn't believe all the stuff listed under Black Friday. I'm not sure anybody knows now. LOL

As I've said so many times before, everyone is invited to share with us here. If you need instructions, just click on Linking Info under the header picture.

Giving Thanks

I know it's not quite Thanksgiving yet but it will be in just a few days. So I will take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving right now. I'm giving thanks for so many things this year, and among the blessings I've been given is the love each of you have shared this year. Thank you for all the special comments you have made to me. I'm thankful that I have been able to continue this blog into our ninth year.

Time to begin linking. If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like instructions on linking, just click on Linking Info under the header picture.

Welcome back to Spiritual Sundays. I was pleased to note that we had 31 links last week. I know we have had many more than that in the past, but not recently. Thank you to everyone who shares each week.

This is Veterans Day weekend here in America. It is always good to honor our Veterans. Where would we be without them? I don't even like to think about it.

And now it's time to begin linking. If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like instructions on linking, just click on Linking Info under the header picture for more information.

Welcome Back

Now Halloween is behind us and Thanksgiving in front. Before Thanksgiving we have two birthdays in our family to celebrate. These next two months are going to be busy busy busy. I know all of you will be busy as well. Thank you for your participation in these busy days.

I would ask for your prayers for my sister-in-law, Vivian. She is 88 years old, is in very bad health and has just started dialysis which she was hoping she would never have to do. Before she was my sister-in-law, she was my aunt (my mother's youngest sister). We became in-laws when I married her hubby's youngest brother. Needless to say Vivian is a very special person to me.

Now, time to link again.

Welcome Again

Yes, it is time to begin linking again. In a few days it will be Halloween. Seems Halloween is almost as popular as Christmas these days. I guess I'm getting old. I don't appreciate Halloween like I did when I was younger. I'm not too old to enjoy Christmas though. LOL I love Christmas.

So let the linking begin. If you are new here and have not linked before and would like instructions, just click on Linking Info under the header picture. Everyone is invited to participate.

Welcome Back

Each time I type in the name of the post, Welcome Back, Kotter, comes to my mind. LOL I used to enjoy that TV series way back when. Well, this isn't "Kotter" but I think it is something better. Welcome back to Spiritual Sundays.

Time is still passing too quickly for me but that's just the way it is. Seems like I start this blog about every other day instead of once a week. "Time is Filled With Swift Transition". Does anyone else remember that old hymn? Gee, old stuff is coming back to my mind today.

Welcome Back

I've been noticing for sometime that there are fewer links on Spiritual Sundays than there were for several years. It was not uncommon to have 50 - 60 links a few years ago and now I'd say the average is about 20 or so. Usually more but sometimes less. I think I understand why. There are probably many reasons but I think probably the number one reason is that everyone is so caught up in their daily lives and concerned about everything going on all over the world, that it takes up their energy. After all the hurricanes, floods, etc, now the fires in California are getting a lot of attention. I do believe all of these things are pointing us to the end. I guess it will just get worse and worse until the only answer is Jesus coming back to make everything right again. I am praying for that day to come quickly.

In the meantime, let's continue to uplift one another by sharing inspiration. I didn't mean for this post to be a "downer". Lets make this week an uplifting one.

Well yesterday was my 81st birthday. I don't know how it got here so quickly. Didn't I just celebrate #80? My goodness the years do fly by. I guess we can still use a # for number. I know now it is called a hashtag. Everything changes but not everything changes for the better. I'm thinking right now about the tragedy in Las Vegas as well as the recent hurricanes that changed and took so many lives. There is so much confusion in the world and yet there is so much to be thankful for.

So now let's begin the linking for another week. Thank you for your continued participation each week.

New Month

This Sunday is the first day of October. October happens to be one of my favorite months. My birthday and my daughter's birthday are both in the month of October. This year is quickly winding down. I knew it would be that way. There were not as many links last week as there usually are. Maybe the week just kind of got away from others as it did for me. Sounds like I'm just rambling on so I'll get right with it. Let the linking begin.

Welcome back to Spiritual Sundays. I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather. I know I sure am. We finally got out of the triple digits. The days are getting shorter and it's cooler at night. World conditions are certainly not getting better though. Hurricanes, earthquakes and fires all over the world. I don't think there is any question that we are living in the end times. Much prayer is needed.

Thank you for continuing to share your inspirational posts. We all need encouragement in these trying times. So, now it is time to link again. As I've said so many times in the past, everyone is invited to participate.

How Great

I remember when this song first came out many years ago. It seemingly became an overnight sensation. I think we must have sang it at every service at our church for a long time. We don't sing it any more, but it is still a good song and Carrie Underwood sings it so well.

September is already half over. October, my favorite month, is coming up soon. Love this season of the year.

Now let the linking begin. If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and need instructions for linking, just click on Linking Info under the header picture.

I Can Only Imagine

Did I mention I really really like this song? I'm looking forward to the movie but in the meantime, I thought I would share the song.

The number of links has been down during the summer but last week the number was back up. I guess people are getting back in the groove. Can it be possible that we are already into September and Labor Day is already history? Get ready. It will be time to put up the Christmas decorations before you know it.

So now, let the linking begin. Thank you to everyone who participates. You're the best.

I Can Only Imagine

I was so excited when I saw this advertisement for a movie coming next year I wanted to share it with all of you. I absolutely love the song and sounds like it is going to be a wonderful movie. Something we can look forward to.

I hope you look forward to coming here each week to share and be blessed by what others have shared. There is so much terrible stuff going on in our world now that we need things that are uplifting and good things to look forward to.

I know many of you are fans of Andre Rieu. When I saw this on the internet, I thought to myself, "This would be perfect to share on Spiritual Sundays." Nearer My God to Thee is a favorite of many people. This month marks the beginning of the 10th year for this blog. We began it in August of 2008. My goodness, these years have just flown by. Thank you again for making us successful.

Nicole was one of the entertainers on a Caribbean cruise my daughter and I went on a few years ago. She is a terrific entertainer. This is one of the songs she sang. I've been a fan of hers ever since. I hope you enjoy the video.

Glen Campbell's fans are so sad right now that he is no longer with us in this world. But for Glen, there is no more Alzheimer's and no more night. What wonderful news that is for him and I hope everyone who reads this and listens to this song can say the same. Thank you, Glen for recording this song. I had never heard it before. This is inspirational for sure.

I just noticed this was recorded in 1989. That was a pivotal year in our lives. We made major changes that year and moved to Arizona. What a blessing that has been for our family.
Now it's time to link. Thank you again for sharing with us each week.

Welcome Back

Hard to believe school has already started in some areas. Way back in my day school always started right after Labor Day. Why do people keep changing things? LOL Seriously, there are good things about school starting. People kind of get back into the routines and there is much to look forward to as the fall approaches. On the other hand it is rather sad that the more carefree days of summer are winding down. Time marches on.

And now it's time to begin linking again. I was pleased to hear your comments about the picture and song featured in last week's post.

Kneel At the Cross

When I saw this picture I immediately thought of a song we sang in church many many years ago. Kneel at the Cross was the name of the song. I doubt seriously I will ever sing it again in a church service, but I can sing it at home. It's a good song. Just curious if anyone else knew the song or remembered it.

August is just around the corner. How the time does fly. And now it is time to start linking again. Thank you for your faithfulness in sharing here each week.

Welcome Back

Who hasn't shopped at or at least heard of Hobby Lobby. My hubby reviews books and posts his reviews on his blog. One of the books he recently reviewed was a book called Giving It All Away and Getting It All Back Again by David Green, founder of Hobby Lobby. I read the book last week. I was really impressed. They started out by making picture frames in their garage in Altas, Oklahoma. I believe it grew into the billion dollar business because God was blessing it. I really like the following quote found on page 123.
"I believe with all my heart that these are the reasons—along with the good business sense God also gave us—that Hobby Lobby is as successful as it is. It was God's idea. It is God's company. It was only entrusted to the Green family. Our job has been to lead it to the best of our ability in a manner that honors Jesus Christ and touches as many lives as possible for eternity."
I totally enjoy shopping at Hobby Lobby. I appreciate it even more after reading the book. Most of us will never do things on the grand scale of David Green, but it is a good reminder that everything we own actually does belong to God and we are just stewards of it. It is my prayer that we will all be good stewards.

It occurred to me that some of you might like to check out my hubby's blog and read some of the dozens of reviews he has posted there.

Can you believe July is already here? My family gets a little tired of my expressing each 4th of July that next thing we know it will be Christmas. However, it does happen every year.

I realize that this is an American holiday and not everyone who comes to this blog lives in the U.S.A. To us this is a very important day — INDEPENDENCE DAY.  So I say Happy Independence Day.

This is a good time to share inspirational posts. Actually it is always a good time to share inspirational posts so now let's get started.

Welcome Back

Summer has really hit here with a vengeance. Record breaking heat has now gone back to normal heat which is HOT. I really don't mind it too much though thanks to air conditioning. How in the world did people live in the desert before A/C?

Linking has been down a little the last few weeks. Maybe it is because of the heat. I appreciate all of you who share here each week. You make the effort to continue this blog worth while. And now, let's begin a new week of sharing.

Today I want to share another video with you. You may remember Scott MacIntyre from American Idol a few yeas ago. He's good but I'm especially impressed because he is blind. The message in this song is what the world needs. I heard/saw him perform at our church before he became famous.
Now it is time to start sharing again. Scott just recently became a father with the birth of a son. Happy Father's Day to Scott and to all the Dads out there.

Amazing Grace

When I saw this video on Facebook I decided I had to share it here on Spiritual Sundays. This is arguably the most popular spiritual song all over the world. These guys are really good. I hope you enjoy and receive inspiration from watching it.

Time now to start linking again. Thank you to all who participate.

June is a happy month. At least that's how I see it. Graduations, weddings, vacations, Father's Day, starting of summer. Well, that "happy" month is here.  I hope this will be a happy month for sharing here on Spiritual Sundays. Links were down last week. I'm sure the Memorial Day weekend was responsible.

Thank you again to everyone who participates in any way.

Oops I did it again. Here it is Friday afternoon and I just remembered it was time to start a new linkup for Spiritual Sundays. Maybe it is because of the holiday weekend. Maybe I'm just getting old. Really there is no excuse for it. I'm sorry. Some of you like to link on Friday but some don't come here until Saturday or Sunday so I guess it isn't too late to get it started.I did want to share this video of a popular church song.
I Remember well when this song first came out. Seems like we sang it every week in our church and I think we were not the only ones. All these years later people still love it.

Welcome Back

Spring is definitely here. Some days it seems like Summer is already here. We've already had temperature of over 100 but the last few days have been perfect (except for a little wind). Here's a picture I took of one of our blooming bushes.

So now it is time to begin linking again. Thank you to all who participate each week.

I want to say Happy Mother's Day to all our mothers. God certainly knew what he was doing when he gave us mothers. Of course God has always known what he was doing - all the time, but I want to especially thank Him for giving me the mother that I had. It has been many years now since I last hugged and kissed her. I'm looking forward to the day I can hug her again in heaven. I'm so glad I can spend every Mother's Day with my own two children. I wish everyone was as blessed as I have been.

I'm also blessed by being able to provide this venue for sharing inspiration each week. I thank each of you who comes here to share. You have also blessed my life.

I was inspired by this youth orchestra at church a few weeks ago and when I saw it shared on Facebook I decided to share it with you here on Spiritual Sundays. I couldn't help but think about how blessed these young people are to have this talent and to be able to share it with us. They won't be out on the streets rioting and burning down buildings. Praise God.

Now it's time to share again. Thank you to all who participate in any way. You make my day every week. Maybe I should say you make my week. 😍

Welcome back friends.  As I sit here right now typing this if I turn my head just little I can look out the window and see lots of pretty flowers. Most are in our yard. Some are over the fence in the neighbor's yard. Autumn has always been my favorite time of the year, but Spring isn't far behind with it's bursts of color and reminder of what a beautiful world we live in. Some parts of the world, however, are not pretty at all. I really believe that God has blessed America and it worries me that we seem to be getting farther and farther away from God as a country. I pray we will wake up before it is too late.

Now lets begin sharing again in this new sharing week. We need all the encouragement we can get and I appreciate all of you who help by sharing with us.

Welcome Back

Wow, I just realized another week has gone by and it is time to link again. I hope everyone had a blessed Easter. Hard to believe it has already come and gone. Life is speeding by so quickly. I hate to sound pessimistic but it seems like the world is getting a little worse each day. I don't think there is any doubt that these are at least the beginning of the end times. I know it will get much worse but thank God, all of these troubles are temporary.

Now is the time to share again. Thank you to all who participate in any way.

The resurrection of Jesus is celebrated regularly by Christians but especially focused on this Sunday - Easter Sunday. This brings to my mind a hymn we used to sing in church a lot. "Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives all fear is gone. Because I know He holds the future and life is worth the living just because He lives." In case you are not familiar with the song here is a video.
I hope you all have a happy and blessed Easter.

This Sunday is Palm Sunday. I like Palm Sunday. It is a joyous day. Have you ever wondered what Jesus was thinking as he rode into Jerusalem that day on the donkey, with people praising him, knowing what awaited him just a few days later? That is hard for me to think about. Makes me want to praise Him even more and shout Hosanna!

Thank you for being here and for sharing with us again on this special weekend. If you have not shared before and would like instructions, just click on Linking Info under the header picture for information.

Welcome Friends

Taxes. I don't like taxes. I especially don't like to file income tax. Even though we are retired and don't have to pay income tax, we still have to file and I don't like it. Several years ago I started doing them online with Turbo Tax. That is a good way to do it, but it is still stressful trying to get everything right. So, today was Turbo Tax day for me and I am tired. One of the wonderful things about heaven will be NO TAXES. Yay.
So something I do like is giving you this opportunity to share inspirational posts. It is time to begin a new weekend of sharing.  Thank you to all who participate.

Welcome Back

Was so sad to see what happened in London a few days ago. It is so hard for me to understand how any human being can do such horrible things to other human beings. What is even sadder is that everyone expects it to happen again and again with no end in sight. We wonder why God allows such things to go on. There certainly is no easy answer. It takes faith to believe that some day all these terrible things will end and there will be peace thanks to the Prince of Peace. In a few weeks we will be celebrating Easter. Of course we think about the resurrection at other times but more people are focused on it then than at any other time.

Now it is time to begin sharing again. Thank you to all who participate each week.

Hope Is Promised
Hope says, "I have something to look forward to today, tomorrow and forever, because I am perpetually secure in Christ." We who have believed on Christ for our salvation have a glorious future and a hope. And it's this hope that is promised to us in Scripture, hope in the person of Jesus Christ.
More than three hundred times in the New Testament alone, the Bible predicts the second coming of Christ. Just as surely as Jesus came to earth the first time, Scripture assures us he's coming again. In doing so, he will fulfill every last Old Testament prophecy and will establish the glorious new heaven and new earth. God has staked his character on the fact that his son will return again—God who cannot lie, who cannot indulge dishonesty.
The above quote doesn't mention angels, but I just finished reading the book and there is a lot of information about angels in it. I recommend the book if you are interested in this timely subject. There are so many misconceptions about angels. I think this book helps to understand who angels are, what is their mission, etc. It really makes you think.
And now, it's time to link. Thank you for your continued encouragement. I'm so glad this blog has been instrumental in sharing inspiration for so many years. It would not be possible without you who link here each week.
