You alone are the Lord.
You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars.
You made the earth and the seas and everything in them.
You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

Hard to believe it has been eight years since my niece, Ginger and I started this blog. The first linking was the first of August 2008. Twenty-one people linked that first week. Many people have been blessed through the years by sharing here. And many friends have been made too. I have made many cyber friends since I started blogging years ago. Many who I never met in person in this life I expect to get acquainted with face to face in the future eternal life. I thank God for the inspiration he gave Ginger and me to start this blog in the first place. I really do believe it was a God thing.

So now we are starting year number 9. At one time we were having 50 to 60 links each week. Now it is down to 30 something each week. Many people have quit blogging. I think social media has a lot to do with it. At one time I had 6 blogs going and now this is the only one I do on a regular basis.  I intend to continue with this blog as long as I am able or until interest falls to the level that I feel like it isn't really serving a purpose. Each one of you has been such a blessing to me through the years.

Those of you who remember Ginger might like to know that she is doing well. She quit co-hosting this blog a few years ago because she was so busy with her grand kids and other obligations.  She is now working as church secretary for the church she has been a member of for many years. She loves her job. Here is a picture of Ginger and me back when we were co-hosting Spiritual Sundays.
So time to begin linking. If you need instructions, just click on Linking Info under the header picture.

Welcome Back

Thank you for being so understanding last week when I forgot (again) to start the linking until late Friday. Thank you for your encouraging comments. As Debby Ray said, "Thank goodness this world is not our home." I couldn't agree more. Too often we tend to forget that truth. Thank you, Debby, for the reminder.

This time I didn't forget, and it's time to start linking. If you need instructions, just click on Linking Info under the header picture.

Huh Oh

Good grief. I can't believe it. I was just thinking I need to start the Spiritual Sundays post and realized it isn't Thursday. This is Friday. Good grief. Somehow I seem to have lost a day. I guess I am getting old. I know I am getting old. Maybe I can blame it on watching all the bad news on TV which was getting my attention. And boy, there is plenty of that to distract anyone. I don't need to tell you that we all need to be in prayer for our world in turmoil.  And I hope you will forgive me for being late in posting this.

Number Fifty-Eight

It happens every year exactly one week after the 4th of July. At least it has for the past 58 years. What is it? It's our wedding anniversary. I think this year is extra special because of the number 58. We were married in 1958 and this year it will be 58 years. How about that? Fifty-eight years ago I married my best friend, and he is still my best friend. God has been so good to both of us. Certainly there have been ups and downs as in every marriage, but thankfully it was mostly "ups".

Now it's time to start sharing again. It is my privilege to be able to host this each week. And thank you for sharing.

Independence is something everyone seeks at one time or another. We saw it again last week when Britain voted to be independent of the European Union. Children are eager to grow up and be independent. Independence is a good thing, but sometimes people want to be independent from God and that is a very bad thing. Of course independence is on my mind as I write this because Monday is Independence Day in America. So, if you live in America, Happy Independence Day.
And now it is time to begin linking. Thank you for your continued participation each week. You are all so precious to me.
