You alone are the Lord.
You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars.
You made the earth and the seas and everything in them.
You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

I pray you all have a blessed Easter. The terrorist attack in Belgium a few days ago reminds us once again of the evil in this world. What a blessing it is to know that because Jesus was raised from the dead, we have assurance of our own resurrection. It reminds me of an old hymn that we used to sing in church in the "old days" - BLESSED ASSURANCE, JESUS IS MINE. O WHAT A FORETASTE OF GLORY DIVINE.

Now it is time again to begin linking. Thank you for being so faithful.

  1. ...oh what a foretaste of glory divine
    Happy Easter!

    1. Glad to know you and many others are familiar with this song. Happy Easter, Ellen.

  2. My mother tells the story of how I sang that song in front of my grandparents' small country church when I was only three years old. I sang it loud and clear - "Dis is my tory, dis is my song..." :-)

It's still a favorite, for I just love the words. Yes indeed, because of our risen Savior, we have blessed assurance and confident hope in an eternity spent with Him!

    Happy Easter, Charlotte!

    1. What a neat (cool) story. Don't you wish every 3 year old could sing this song.

  3. Thanks for the link-up Charlotte.

  4. Charlotte, I love that old hymn. It reminds me of attending church with my grandmother. It has such a powerful message for today's troubled times! Thanks for hosting. Hope your spring is off to a good start! Blessings!
