You alone are the Lord.
You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars.
You made the earth and the seas and everything in them.
You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

Welcome Back

Here we are in 2014. Where did those last 14 years go? Seems like we were just anticipating the year 2000 and wondering how it would affect our computers, etc. This is another reminder of how short life really is and how we need to focus on the important things, especially where we plan to spend eternity. Because unlike our life here and now, we won't be talking about how short life is but wondering at how long life is. Wow, that is something to look forward to. The older I get, the more I am aware of this reality.

In the meantime, let's continue to lift one another up and encourage others. Everyone is invited to share with us. Do we always agree with everything everyone shares? Of course not. But we can still learn and consider other points of view. If you need more information about how to link, please click on Linking Info under the header picture.

  1. 2014 is the year that I will turn 60, Lord willing. And yes, Charlotte, the older I get the more I contemplate my eternity with the Lord. In light of the treasures that await me, I try to keep my focus on Him. This world has a way of *blurring* Him - and I need *spiritual* glasses, too! That's why I love reading His Word.

Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year. I look forward to continuing our faith journeys together.

Thank you again for providing this lovely community of blogging friends a place to join together and share.

  3. Thank you for sharing with us the opportunity. Today I post my word for 2014 which is ABIDE. I want to Abide deeper in Him this year

  4. Happy New Year, Charlotte! Thank you for once again giving the opportunity share our hearts! Many blessings to you in 2014!

  5. Happy New Year, Charlotte and all. I pray for a new year filled with joy and peace. May we all continue to strive to make the world a better place for all.

  6. I hope 2014 proves to be a good year for you and yours!
