You alone are the Lord.
You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars.
You made the earth and the seas and everything in them.
You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

It will be Thanksgiving here in America in just a few days. Even though many are going through trying times, we have so much to be thankful for. As I was thinking about how blessed I am, my thoughts turned to recent news from the Philippines and and more recently the tornados here in he midwest. There are so many concerns that we could spend full time in prayer but, of course, that is not possible. Our daily lives go on and even in spite of so much sorrow in the world and sometimes in our own lives, we can still know that God is good and He knows and cares about every heartache. I know that spending some time each week reading what others have shared here is something like an oasis in the desert. Thank you each and everyone for that.

  3. Yes, like many I rant and rave about things I don't like that are going on - but it is time to Be Thankful, for truthfully, we live in a great time to be alive and serve a risen Savior.

  4. Wishes for a blessed Thanksgiving to all. Charlotte, I always count you among my blessings.

  5. Charlotte, wishing and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving. May we all be especially aware of the many, many blessings that we enjoy. And may we think often of The Giver of them all.
