You alone are the Lord.
You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars.
You made the earth and the seas and everything in them.
You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

Praise Update On Design Gives Back

Some of you may have seen this comment last week by Kelee Katillac of Design Gives Back.
Wonderful Charlotte,
Here you are ever-faithful.... I missed you all! I wanted you all to know and celebrate God's goodness for Colette -- 4 years later! Since it is Breast Cancer month it is precious to hear and seeing healing.
Enormous hug to all of you at Spiritual Sunday,
Kelee Katillac
Those who are new to this blog will probably not have a clue what it is about so I will fill you in.

Kelee Katillac has a wonderful ministry of bringing health and healing by cheering cancer victims. She does complete miracle makeovers of their rooms. If you click here you will find out all about the great things she has done and is doing. So happy to hear that Colette is doing so well.

Two or three years ago Spiritual Sundays along with a few other blogs cooperated in campaigns to raise money for future miracle makeovers. It didn't cost anyone a penny. All that was required was to make a comment. For each comment Design Gives Back donated a dollar. We had a record 176 comments on that post and much good was accomplished as a result. I'm grateful to Kelee for letting us be a part of those campaigns and was delighted to get an update on what has been done since then. Be sure to go visit the Design Gives Back website to find out more about it.

Next week I will relate to you what I hinted at a couple of weeks ago of how a blogger in Belgium influenced the starting of this blog.

Let the linking begin for another encouraging inspirational weekend.

Welcome Back

Once again I want to thank you for all the encouraging comments last week. And I guess more people are getting back in the groove. The number of links last week were up after being down a little for several weeks. New people continue to join us here. I want you to know we are happy to have you sharing with us. I think we need all the encouragement we can get with so many discouraging things going on in our world.

I'm not sure, but I think I saw somewhere that Canada just recently had their Thanksgiving holiday. So if you are in Canada, Happy Thanksgiving. Of course ours isn't until next month, but it will be here before we know it. Most of the people who share here are in the United States, but we do have a few from other countries. I think that is great. Actually one of the reasons we started this blog was due to some comments a lady who lives in Belgium made on my blog. That is a story for another day.

It is finally getting cooler here in the desert. There has already been some snow in the northern part of our state. Time is marching on. As the scripture says, our lives are like a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. I have a 91 year old uncle living in Oregon - a WWII veteran who has been given about 6 months to live. His heart is failing. 91 years sounds like a long time, but I'm sure to him it seems like a very short amount of time. My husband has been asked to do a funeral next week for an elderly lady. He has done quite a few funerals since he retired from being a pastor over nine years ago. The Bible says it is appointed to man once to die and after that comes the judgment. This week I have been reminded how short life really is - for everybody. It is easy to get caught up in the things that are going on in our day to day living and forget how soon it will all be over. I don't want to sound morbid, but these are sobering thoughts for me. It reminds me that spiritual things are so much more important than material things that we hold dear.

Thank you for sharing each week. You are such a blessing to me and to each other.

It's that time again. Time to start sharing inspirational posts. I'm impressed that so many have been sharing by linking here for several years. Some have come and shared for awhile and then they are gone. As they leave others discover this blog and start linking. It reminded me a little of church. I've often said that if the members all stayed that when new ones were added the total would keep growing. This does happen in some places but more often than not new people just replace other people who chose to move on to another church or quit altogether. And the membership stays basically the same or even goes down. I guess that is just life. Anyway, whether you have been linking for years, just recently started linking, or if this is your very first time, you are all welcome and I appreciate each and every one of you. You are the reason we do this week after week.
