You alone are the Lord.
You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars.
You made the earth and the seas and everything in them.
You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

Well Easter is over but we are still living in the reality of the resurrection. It is not something that we just think about once a year even though it is emphasized more at this time than at any other.
Before He was betrayed and crucified Jesus instituted the Lord's Supper. This is a wonderful way to remember what He did for us. He knew people tend to be forgetful. I am reminded of how quickly the Israelites forgot how God had miraculously delivered them out of Egypt. Let us not be like that. Let us never forget how God delivered us through the death and resurrection of Jesus. That is what holy communion is all about.

1 Corinthians 11:26

New International Version (NIV)
26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

Thank you again to each one who comes here to share and to be uplifted by what others have shared. If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to link here, there are instructions. Just click on Linking Info under the header picture for information.

  1. Dear Charlotte
The fact that our Lord invited us to the table for a meal means sooooo much. In the Jewish culture culture at Jesus' time you only invited those people you were good friends with to share a meal. Can you imagine how blesse we are by our Pappa God inviting us to His table everyday "eating" the new resurrected life of our Lord Jesus. Without that how can we ever be spiritually fed!
    Blessings to you

  2. First time linking up to your party. I'm your newest follower. Glad I found you! God bless ...
