You alone are the Lord.
You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars.
You made the earth and the seas and everything in them.
You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

This will be our last time to link this year. 2012 was a pretty good year. There were a few disappointments, but that can be said about every year. Again I want to thank each of you who have shared with us this past year. You have all been a blessing to so many.

My prayer is that each of us will see this new year as a chance to reflect on all the blessings we have received in the past year and determine that we will find new ways to show kindness and love to everyone we come in contact with.

If you need information about how to link, just click Linking Info under the header picture. Everyone is invited.

Well here it is, the weekend before Christmas. People will be making last minute preparations and shopping. I hope you will take some time out of your busy schedule to visit some of the links. I confess I have not done as well as I would like to as far as visiting each person who links here. For a long time I did that but here lately I have not done so well. I apologize for that. I really do appreciate all who share and each time I visit one of the links I am so glad I didn't miss that one. I know it is that way with all of them.

I hope each of you has a wonderful Christmas.

Can you believe it is just a little over a week 'til Christmas? Did you grow up celebrating Christmas as Christ's birthday? I grew up celebrating Christmas - tree, Santa and all that, but the church I was brought up in didn't celebrate Christmas as Christ's birthday. I grew up hearing that we didn't know what date He was born on but it couldn't be December because of the shepherds out in the fields. So, it must have been in the spring. And besides that, there is no scripture that tells us to celebrate His birth. A Christmas tree in the church was unheard of as was a nativity scene. To tell you the truth, I never did "buy" that interpretation but didn't really give it much thought. As I got older and studied more I changed my view on a lot of things that church taught. I find it hard to believe that Jesus would condemn people for celebrating His birth. Even if we don't know the exact date, I think December 25 is just fine. I'm so glad the churches I've been associated with more recently have celebrated Christmas as Christ's birthday.

I do think we get a little too busy this time of year with many many things and too many times the real reason for celebrating Christmas gets pushed aside. I think sharing our thoughts by linking them here is helpful. Thank you again for all the lovely comments you make to me. I really do appreciate it.

I know I've said it many times before, but it flat out amazes me how fast a week flies by. I just now realized it is time to start Spiritual Sundays again. First thing we know this year will be history and we will be starting a brand new year.

Thank you again to all of you who so faithfully follow this blog and share with us each week. If you have not linked here before and would like more information, please click on Linking Info under the header picture for instructions.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and that we can all slow down just a little and and symbolically stop and smell the roses. Yes, I know, this is winter, but this is the time of year the roses do best here in Arizona. Also, in some parts of the world it is not winter. And we have people who share with us regularly from other parts of the world. That's one of the wonderful things about the internet. Just think, a few years ago, this would not have been possible. In fact, it would have never even entered our minds. Wow.
