You alone are the Lord.
You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars.
You made the earth and the seas and everything in them.
You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

Happy Summer

Yes, I know technically summer has not yet arrived but how did June get here so quickly? I'm still amazed. Seems like we were just putting away the Christmas decorations. Well now school is out and people will be going on vacation. People always ask me if we are going anywhere this summer. We think about it but not very long. When you are in your 80s you kind of like to be at home or at least not far from home. I would love to go to many places if I was younger and didn't have a knee problem, but under the circumstances, I like to pretty much stay at home except for maybe a day trip now and then and, of course, eating out which we do fairly regularly. And then there are trips to the grocery store or Trader Joe's. What a life. LOL

So let's begin the linking. Linking has been down some lately. I think everybody is pretty busy actually all of the time now. Thank you to those who are faithful to share on a regular basis and thank you to those who share now and then.

  1. Yes, home is always the best place to be in every season.
We're still waiting for warm weather to arrive, but my garden is planted and I think I saw sprouting peas from a distance yesterday. Gotta go check it out today!

  2. We always have said, "It's good to get away and better to come home!" :) May you enjoy the summer, no matter where you go! Blessings!

  3. I've always been a homebody, but agree would have been nice to travel some. Not sure what happened, but says my link made it, but I don't see it. Perhaps it will show up later. Have a nice week.

  4. I'm not in my 80's yet, but like Pat, I've always been a homebody. Thankfully, my hubby is the same way. We're both content with the peace and quiet of home. Guess that's why we happily moved to Michigan's least populated county.
