You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

Jesus said. "In this world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

What a true statement this is. Every day there are things that happen that we say, "That is just not right. That should not happen", but it does. How do people who do not have this hope survive? Our attitude will have a lot to do with how we see adversity. Do we see it as an opportunity to rely more on God than we have been doing? Do we just give up and say the world is just going to hell and I'm not going to think about it? What is the answer? I believe the last part of the scripture answers it. "Be of good cheer. I have overcome the world." Perhaps if we repeat this to ourselves often, it will "sink in" and we will see the light at the end of the tunnel. Remember, Jesus is THE LIGHT.

Time to start linking again. Thank you again all who participate in any way.

Traffic Feed

From time to time, I like to look at the traffic feed near the bottom on the right column. I'm always amazed to see all the different places from which people are coming to this blog. Not just people from the United States, but from all over the world. It still boggles my mind to realize that just a few short years ago this would have been impossible. It wouldn't have even come to our minds. The internet really is an amazing thing. And the fact that it can be instantly translated into another language is just as amazing. Wow.

So no matter where you come from, I'm glad you're here reading this right now - perhaps even in another language. Inspiration is not just for Americans but for the whole world. I hope you will be inspired by what others have shared here. Everyone is invited to participate.

On My Way to Heaven

Another inspirational video.

The older I get and the more of my friends and relatives have died, I'm thinking more about heaven than I did when I was younger. I'm sure this is the case with many people. My hubby is a retired pastor. He doesn't preach anymore but he still does memorial services. So many former members of our congregation had requested years ago that they want Clif to do their memorial service. This Saturday morning will be one of those times. It will be for the wonderful Christian man who played the piano at our last church  He didn't just "play" the piano, he was a great piano player and was also a great singer and an elder at the church. We had the service for his wife almost exactly a year ago. They were both a few years younger than I am. Life is short. When you're young you think you will never get old, and then before you know it, it happens. You're old. I'm so thankful that we have this blessed hope of heaven because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross. The above video is a great reminder of that fact.

OK, now it's time to begin linking. Thank you for your participation.

He's Alive

Thank you, Dolly. I thought this was so appropriate for Easter.

I hope everyone has a blessed Easter weekend. This is a good time to share inspirational posts. Of course every weekend is a good time, but I think Easter is extra special.

I Can Only Imagine

Just returned from watching this movie. Wow, it was really powerful. I'm wondering if Hollywood will ever wake up and realize what most people want to see these days. They live in their own little bubble. I highly recommend it. I've loved the song for years and now I know the story behind the song.

Thank you for your condolence comments last week. We went over to California for her memorial service. It was a quick trip but good to see other relatives there. I made a DVD of Vivian's life which they showed at the memorial service. Anybody else out there make DVDs on their computer? I've made over 30 in the past several years. If you haven't tried it and have the programs on your computer to facilitate it, you should try it. It really is a satisfying hobby.

OK. Now it's time to link. Thank you again for your steadfast loyalty to this endeavor.

Aunt Vivian

This week I want to pay tribute to a lovely lady who was my aunt for 81 years. She was only 7 years old when I was born. She lived to the age of 88. I think like Billy Graham she would say she is more alive now than she has ever been. And now she has no more pain or sorrow. God called her home last Saturday morning. My parents both came from large families so at one time I had a lot of aunts and uncles. Aunt Vivian was my last remaining aunt. My uncles are all gone as well. I will miss Vivian. She also became my sister-in-law when I married her husband's brother almost 60 years ago. Goodbye for awhile Vivian. RIP

Now it is time to begin linking again. Thank you for your steadfast encouragement.

You have probably seen this video online, maybe on Facebook. I thought it was so good that I decided to share it here in case someone hasn't seen it. And if you have seen it, you might want to watch it again. Billy Graham inspired so many people and I can just imagine his homecoming a few days ago. Wow. And besides that, Michael W. Smith's music always inspires me too.
Now it is time to start sharing again.Thank you for your faithfulness.

March has just marched in as it does every year. Well, actually sometimes it blows in but I prefer to think of it as marching in. LOL March is one of my least favorite months but now days I'm happy to see another month no matter if it is a favorite or not. I've said so many times and you probably tire of hearing it, but I'm always amazed at how quickly a year goes by. Eternity is ahead. I'm not ready to go just yet but I am looking forward to it.

In the meantime, it's time to link again. Thank you to all who participate.

Thank You Nick

I've seen Nick on TV many times and am always amazed. I had never thought about how it was for him growing up. This amazing video is the most inspirational thing I could think to share this week. All I can say is just "WOW"!

I hope you all have a wonderful week and like me, count your many blessings every day.

Valentine's Day is coming up in a few days. I am so blessed to have a hubby who really celebrates the day. It will start out with a visit to my favorite restaurant for my favorite breakfast, Swedish Pancakes with lingonberry sauce. I hope each one of you is treated special in some way. One thing for sure, our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us and that is the best love of all.

So now, let's share the love by linking special thoughts and prayers.

I can't believe our weather. January is supposed to be winter here in the desert but the temp was been in the high 70s and even 80s all month. Now that February has arrived, it looks like the forecast calls for more of the same. What happened to our rain? Maybe it went elsewhere. It sure hasn't been here except for a few sprinkles. But I will try not to complain too much. I like it better than record cold so much of the country has experienced.

Now it's time to begin linking again. I hope the month of February is a good one for all of you. I guess February is the "love month". I like that.

Welcome Friends

Welcome back. I continue to be amazed at how fast time flies. Here it is the middle of January already. I hope the new year is starting out well for all of you. I know it is very cold where some of you live. We haven't really even had winter yet. The high temps have been in the 70s almost all month. Rain rain. We do need rain. I would even welcome a little snow but I know that is not going to happen. I think the winter time is a good time to share inspiring messages. Thank you to everyone who does that here on Spiritual Sundays.

Sharing Inspiration

I saw this on Facebook and was so impressed that I thought to myself, "This would be good to share on Spiritual Sundays." Audrey Hepburn was famous when I was a teenager. I always liked her but my goodness, I had no ideas what her background had been. So glad I found this.

The conclusion is nothing is impossible."

Now it is your turn to share something inspirational.

Welcome Back

2018. Hard to believe it is already 2018. We started this blog in 2008. In July we will be celebrating 10 years. We have had many people link with us over those years. Some have come and gone. Some have recently discovered us and some have been here almost from the beginning. We had fewer links the last two weeks than we have had in a very long time. I'm thinking Christmas and New Years is the reason. I really expect more links this week.

Thank you for your continued support and participation.
