You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

57 YEARS

This weekend my husband and I are celebrating our 57th wedding anniversary. I'm so glad God created both male and female and instituted marriage. Certainly there have been ups and downs in our 57 years together, but I can honestly say that after all these years, our marriage is stronger than ever and we love each other now more than ever. I don't think that is an accident either. God has always been a partner for us and He has blessed us in so many ways.

Last week we had a few less links than usual. I think it was because people here in the U.S. were busy celebrating our Independence Day. Summer is in full swing now too and lots of people are vacationing and spending more time on family outings. I think that is a good thing. Thank you again to everyone who links with us here on Spiritual Sundays each week.

  3. Congratulations, Charlotte!! What a testimony to be able to say you have been married to the same man for 57 years! Yes, I am thankful GOD instituted such a thing as marriage between a male and a female, as it is a beautiful, precious life. It is also what He used to depict His relationship with His bride, the church. It is a pure and holy institution, and it is so true that we really do become ONE. My husband and I just celebrated our 27th precious anniversary, and the longer we are together, the more one we become. God knew what He was doing, as male and female compliment each other's strengths and weaknesses, and it is His will that we reproduce, and our children need both influences in their lives. God's plan is perfect, praise His name, and to follow that plan brings about perfect contentment and peace. Much love to you and your husband of 57 years!!! May God give you many more years together!!
