You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

WELCOME

Welcome everybody. Welcome June. Can it be June already? This year will soon be half over. Seems like it just started. Life is flying by. We were shocked a few days ago when we learned a friend we have known for 25 years and who is younger than we are, died suddenly of a massive heart attack. She was so vibrant and alive and enjoyed life so much, and now her life here on earth is over. Makes one realize that it will soon be over for all of us. Sounds like I'm being morbid again. I'm really not. I know my friend is in a better place and I'm so thankful that our creator planned for a better life before any of us were even born. Thank you, God for sending Jesus to pay the price for all our sins. It is really mind boggling just to think about it.

In the meantime, while we are here on earth, we need to encourage one another and that is exactly what we do here by sharing each week. If you want to share, have never done so before, and need more information, just click on Linking Info under the header picture for instructions.

  1. Charlotte, I'm so sorry for your loss of a dear friend. One of my sweetest friends passed away two years ago, and I'm still not over it. She left an empty place in so many lives. But the memories of her bright and shining life are still so vivid to us all. I pray for your memories to comfort you. Like you, it is disconcerting for someone of my own age to pass away. I'm seeing a lot of more of it lately, since I'm in my sixties now. You are right, it makes me value each moment as precious for the time we have left on this earth. And, yes, I'm so thankful for blessed hope of seeing our loved ones again - because of their acceptance of His precious blood for our sins.
    Blessings,
    GG

  2. Oh Charlotte, I am so sorry for your loss. It is so tough to deal with. Back in May, 2010 our middle daughter lost her furry friend Tinkerbell and a few days later a woman I had known and had once been friends with passed away from a massive heart attack at age 47. We lost CC her in blogland in September 2010 and my heart broke. A few days later another good friend, also 47 died of a massive heart attack. I often think sweet thoughts of both Michelle and Jonel. I knew how CC believed so I knew she was safe with Our Lord. The other girls were quite liberal and a sadness comes over me occasionally. But Our Lord does His best work sometime at the end of ones life. That is another amazing thing about believing....I hope your weekend is quiet and you can reflect on this dear friend. I will keep all in my prayers. Hugs!

  3. We are sad even when a Christian passes on, knowing that we shall miss them. We recently were shocked as well when my cousin who was 20 years younger than me, died suddenly of a heart attack. It does pay to be ready for none of us are promised tomorrow, and only God knows the day he will call us to Him. Thanks for hosting Charlotte.

  5. So sorry for your loss, Charlotte. Yes, life certainly is uncertain, but as I age, I am thinking more and more about eternity with the Lord. It's the comfort that growing older brings into sharper focus. Thanks for the linkup, my friend!
