You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

If you have one of these on your blog you will notice that the picture has been replaced by a notice from Photobucket. I have gotten new codes that no longer link to Photobucket. You need to replace the code for the link to the new code under the picture on my sidebar. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Welcome Back

Welcome to another weekend of sharing. Hard to believe we've been doing this for going on 7 years. So much inspiration has been shared by so many in this length of time. I had no idea when Ginger and I started this blog back in 2008 that it would be so successful. Of course without all of you who share it would have failed long ago. Thank you for your continuing faithfulness. If you are new to Spiritual Sundays, would like to participate and are not sure how to do it, just click on Linking Info under the header picture for instructions.

On the Train

This post is not the kind of thing I usually do, but I received this little story in an e-mail from an old friend this week and wanted to share it.

At birth we boarded the train and met our parents, and we believe they will always travel on our side.  However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone.

As time goes by, other people will board the train; and they will be significant i.e. our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of your life. Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum. Others will go so unnoticed that we don't realize they vacated their seats.

This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells.  Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers requiring that we give the best of ourselves.

The mystery to everyone is: We do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. So, we must live in the best way, love, forgive, and offer the best of who we are. It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty, we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life.

I wish you a joyful journey on the train of life. Reap success and give lots of love. More importantly, thank God for the journey.
Lastly, I thank you for being one of the passengers on my train.

And so I thank each one of you who shares with us here each week. I'm glad you're on our train. Now it's time to link again.

Welcome Back

Welcome back to Spiritual Sundays. Hard to believe Easter 2015 is history. The preacher at the church I attended as a teenager always referred to things that were past as "history". Funny the things we remember. This was over 60 years ago. I've always loved Easter. I have many happy memories of Easters past. The one that has just become "history" was a good one. I hope it was for all of you.

Now it's time to start linking again. If you need help with knowing how to link, just click on Linking Info under the header picture. I'm sure most of you are very familiar with the procedure as you have done it many times. Thank you for being so faithful in sharing.

Happy Resurrection Day

He is risen. What a glorious hope. Because He rose from the dead, we have assurance that one day we will also rise to be with Him forever. The more chaotic our world becomes the more I long for that day. It is my hope that everyone who comes here this week will be having a wonderful Easter experience. I'm glad it's not about the bunny and the eggs but is so much more.
