You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

UPDATE ON SIDEBAR LINKS TO THIS BLOG

The links have been changed for the little widget pictures available to be put on your sidebars that link to Spiritual Sundays. If you have one of these on your blog you will notice that the picture has been replaced by a notice from Photobucket. I have gotten new codes that no longer link to Photobucket. You need to replace the code for the link to the new code under the picture on my sidebar. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

PRAYERS

There are always many situations that we need to be praying about. Serious world events have recently occurred that we need to be praying for and about — the downing of the airliner in which almost 300 people lost their lives, and the war that is being waged between Israel and Hamas. It seems the whole world is in a mess right now. If I didn't know that God is still in control, I could get very depressed. But no matter how messed up the world becomes, there will be a day when He makes it all right again. The Bible predicts that there will be perilous times before the end comes. It seems to me like that time must be getting pretty near.

We continue to receive prayer requests on this blog. A new one was just added today. I hope you will go there and pray for the young man who has requested our prayers. Just click on Prayer Requests under the header picture to take you to that page.

And, of course, if you need instructions on how to link here, you can click on Linking Info.

  2. It's a very dark world. I pray I can shine a light to those I meet and be all I should be.

  3. I just said these very words to my husband last night. Prayer for our world is more important than ever. I want to be faithful to not only do my part, but the parts of those who fail to do so. ~Pamela

  4. God will often give us a premonition that something is about to happen. Actually it is the Holy Spirit speaking to us to pray or to SAY and command the bad thing NOT to happen. We must pray - but let us not forget we have authority to SAY as well as pray!
