You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

WELCOME

For those of us living in the United States, this weekend is a very special occasion. Memorial Day is a time to honor all those who died in service to our country. It is easy to get caught up in the fun things we do at this time and forget the meaning. I hope we will pause during the day to remember why we are celebrating the day. Memorial Day is special for me for another reason. It was on Memorial Day 1948 that I was baptized. Back then it was always May 30 and that year it happened to fall on a Sunday.

Thank you again to everyone who continues to support this blog and share with us each week. If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to share, you will find information by clicking Linking Info under the header picture.

Copied the following from my facebook page. A message from Nancy to all of you.
I join Nancy in thanking you for praying for her. She is hoping to go home next week. It has been quite an ore deal.

I hope you will remember to go to the Prayer Request page and pray for those listed there.

  3. Thank you for allowing me to post my story here. I just completed a long fictional continued story and will begin another one in a few days. Some have signed up to follow by e-mail so they don't miss any of the exciting chapters.
I am happy your niece is doing better.

  4. Wow; 1948! And to think that you've walked faithfully for all these years. You are a blessing Charlotte. Have a restful weekend my friend. I'm very grateful to those who served our country to fight for our freedom. I saw an old movie last night called "Sergeant York". What an inspiring story and so different from the kinds of movies out today.

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie
