You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

WELCOME BACK

Hard to believe summer is here. Well, not officially, but unofficially I guess it started with Memorial Day. Where we live there are a lot of people who come here for the winter months and leave in the summer to go somewhere cooler. This is a great place in the winter. I'm still thinking about all the recent devastation from the tornadoes. Even as I write this, there are severe weather warnings for many parts of the United States as well as wild fires in California. I'm sure there are things going on where you live if it is outside the United States that causes concern too. I'm thankful for the internet. There are certainly things about it that are not good, but there are also many good things. I think it is wonderful that we can all communicate this way and encourage each other. Thank you for participating in such a grand way.

If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to share, you will find information on how to do it by clicking on Linking Info under the header picture.

  1. I live in California - and I've heard it said that our four seasons are fire, flood, earthquake, and drought.

Seriously, though, my heart and prayers go out to all those who have been affected by natural disasters. This poor, broken world just doesn't work right sometimes. However, we are so privileged and blessed to be able to turn to the One who created it all - knowing that He carries us through this life, and has given us a way to be with Him in perfect eternity.

    GOD BLESS!

  2. Blessings Charlotte - and how grand it is to be back in Blogland posting and linking up again! Ministry demands have kept both me and Ed from our blogs, but I am taking a much needed sabbatical and will be a more familiar face again in our virtual world of inspiration! I am posting a link to view my latest project LIVE ONLINE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY - May 30 and June 1 - our church's drama ministry's production "The Investor's Choice" - Psalm 23 set in an art gallery where all the paintings come to life! I served and writer, director and am performing in this one, too - quite a production and I hope you can tune in - 7:05pm EST. We're sold out so the only way to see it other than a ticket is online now.
Joy to you and all who drop by for Spiritual Sunday!

  8. Yes, prayers are being said for those affected by the weather and the fires. We went through many season like these here on Florida's East Coast with the hurricanes and fires of 2006. If not for G-d sending the rain, I don't know that they could have ever stopped them. Hurricanes are bad - but you do have warning ahead of time. Not so with tornadoes...very frightening.

I've missed visiting here, and am glad to be back in the saddle with my blog posts and visits to your wonderful, welcoming blog. Please stop by for a visit to Gail-Friends and see the wonderful garden I visited this past weekend. You will love it!

    Blessings and shalom,
