You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

The links have been changed for the little widget pictures available to be put on your sidebars that link to Spiritual Sundays. If you have one of these on your blog you will notice that the picture has been replaced by a notice from Photobucket. I have gotten new codes that no longer link to Photobucket. You need to replace the code for the link to the new code under the picture on my sidebar. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

WELCOME

This Sunday is Palm Sunday. Many Christians around the world will be focusing on Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem. I am always amazed at how quickly the crowd changed from shouting Hosanna to crucify. I think it is a good reminder to all of us. Many times it is easy to follow Jesus when it is "the thing to do", but not so easy when you are around people who make fun of you and wonder why you have faith and why you live your life the way you do.

Have you been watching the series called The Bible on the History channel the last few weeks? I'm pleased that so many have been watching. The finale will be on Easter Sunday. I look forward to that.

If you would like to share with us by linking a post on your blog here, just click on Linking Info under the header picture for instructions. Everyone is welcome.

  1. Hi Charlotte, I have taped all the series (or am in the process :) ) but haven't yet watched it. I want to share it with my grandkids and my senior mom wants to watch it with me as well. Has it remained fairly accurate to the Bible as far as you see?

Also, the 10 Commandments is on for some channels later this week if anyone was interested. I've never seen that movie but a pastor I listen to regularly refers to it with several intriguing comments so I may watch it this month. :)

Have a blessed and beautiful Palm Sunday.

    1. I haven't seen all of the previous episodes, Kaye. What I have seen seems to be accurate to me. I think it is good so many people are watching it. I'm sure many are seeing things they've never heard before. Do you mean the old Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston? I saw that many times. One of my all time favorite movies. I haven't seen newer versions.

  2. I've watched the first one in the series and have recorded the rest to watch. I'm glad it's done so well and that so many are watching stories of the Bible!

    1. Me too, Lisa. Hopefully people will be interested and start reading the Bible more for themselves.

  3. Hi Charlotte,

I am sure we have all encountered obstacles and been attacked by the devil (!) to discourage us in our faith. But how we respond to these attacks will determine the impact we will have on this earth. We have to remain faithful even when we are criticized!Love the picture of His triumphal entry! :)

Blessings and His loving grace this week Charlotte,
    Denise

  5. I am enjoying Bible and watching with Bible in lap and love that I have a chance to see History coming to life on the screen. Praying many would want to check out the Living Word for themselves! God uses all available avenues to prompt and reach others. He used a donkey. And Praise Him that He can use Hollywood and the History channel. ;) Haven't been here in awhile BUT glad to be visiting and sharing today Charlotte!

  9. He told us we would be persecuted for following Him, but we must remember..HE HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD. Our strength to withstand is found in His Word, all we have to do is read the Word, meditate on the Word and pray in the Word. Have a Blessed Palm Sunday!

  10. Your entry today sounds like you may have been at our church today. Shouts can change so quickly. It may be that we will need to stand along and separate ourselves from the crowd.
