Memorial Day Sharing

Memorial Day is here again. This is another American holiday. We do have several people from other countries who share with us on Spiritual Sundays. Sometimes I tend to forget this when talking about one of our holidays. This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. Even if your country doesn't celebrate this holiday, you probably have a day to remember those who have given their lives in service to their country.

One thing every country has in common is the one who died for every one of us. He is the reason for this blog. The crosses in the cemetery in the picture above is a reminder of this.

I'm glad you're here reading this post. I hope you will all be blessed whether by sharing a link to a post on your blog and/or by reading what others have shared.

As I state each week, if you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to link a post on your blog here, please read the instructions by clicking on Linking Info under the header picture. Everyone is welcome.

  1. It is so important to remember our fallen heroes. We'll be taking my grandson to the Memorial Day Parade to teach him this lesson.
And, yes, the One who gave His life for us is the most important.

    Have a wonderful, restful holiday.

  2. Hello, dear Charlotte! Happy Memorial Day to you and your family! Although we don't live in America, we do have lots of family members, relatives, and friends who live there (Filipino community). In fact, this Memorial Day weekend, there's a global reunion of all Agno (our hometown in the Philippines) natives who are scattered abroad. They're gathered in San Francisco, CA.

It's great to remember the heroes who died fighting for our freedom, but no one will ever replace my Hero, the One who gave His life so I might live - dearest Jesus!

  5. We hung small 12 inch American Flags across our front fence. As we were putting up the flags, a car went by and honked. My wife said, they are saying thank you! And they were. We to say thank you to our military, living and to those who have passed on. Most of us have lost someone in these wars. We honor them in our memory.

  6. Memorial Day Blessings to y'all. :) My actual post goes up tomorrow with a lovely medley of three Christian patriotic songs. But it's a special time all weekend long, isn't it? Have a blessed and safe weekend as we praise God for all His mighty blessings.

  7. Thank you, dear Charlotte, for hosting this party week after week. It's been such a blessing in my life. Some weeks I get around to everyone's blog and some I don't, but the reading "of like minds" always teaches and blesses.
