You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

This will be our last time to link this year. 2012 was a pretty good year. There were a few disappointments, but that can be said about every year. Again I want to thank each of you who have shared with us this past year. You have all been a blessing to so many.

My prayer is that each of us will see this new year as a chance to reflect on all the blessings we have received in the past year and determine that we will find new ways to show kindness and love to everyone we come in contact with.

If you need information about how to link, just click Linking Info under the header picture. Everyone is invited.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Well here it is, the weekend before Christmas. People will be making last minute preparations and shopping. I hope you will take some time out of your busy schedule to visit some of the links. I confess I have not done as well as I would like to as far as visiting each person who links here. For a long time I did that but here lately I have not done so well. I apologize for that. I really do appreciate all who share and each time I visit one of the links I am so glad I didn't miss that one. I know it is that way with all of them.

I hope each of you has a wonderful Christmas.

WELCOME

Can you believe it is just a little over a week 'til Christmas? Did you grow up celebrating Christmas as Christ's birthday? I grew up celebrating Christmas - tree, Santa and all that, but the church I was brought up in didn't celebrate Christmas as Christ's birthday. I grew up hearing that we didn't know what date He was born on but it couldn't be December because of the shepherds out in the fields. So, it must have been in the spring. And besides that, there is no scripture that tells us to celebrate His birth. A Christmas tree in the church was unheard of as was a nativity scene. To tell you the truth, I never did "buy" that interpretation but didn't really give it much thought. As I got older and studied more I changed my view on a lot of things that church taught. I find it hard to believe that Jesus would condemn people for celebrating His birth. Even if we don't know the exact date, I think December 25 is just fine. I'm so glad the churches I've been associated with more recently have celebrated Christmas as Christ's birthday.

I do think we get a little too busy this time of year with many many things and too many times the real reason for celebrating Christmas gets pushed aside. I think sharing our thoughts by linking them here is helpful. Thank you again for all the lovely comments you make to me. I really do appreciate it.

WELCOME BACK

I know I've said it many times before, but it flat out amazes me how fast a week flies by. I just now realized it is time to start Spiritual Sundays again. First thing we know this year will be history and we will be starting a brand new year.

Thank you again to all of you who so faithfully follow this blog and share with us each week. If you have not linked here before and would like more information, please click on Linking Info under the header picture for instructions.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and that we can all slow down just a little and and symbolically stop and smell the roses. Yes, I know, this is winter, but this is the time of year the roses do best here in Arizona. Also, in some parts of the world it is not winter. And we have people who share with us regularly from other parts of the world. That's one of the wonderful things about the internet. Just think, a few years ago, this would not have been possible. In fact, it would have never even entered our minds. Wow.

WE DID IT

Last week I said I thought we would have 500 followers by the end of the year. I should have said by the end of the week. Hazel missed being #500 by one. She was #501. Heather has the distinction of being #500. Now we can work on going to 600. Wonder how long it will take?

Thank you for all the kind comments you make each week. It means so much to me.

If you would like to share a spiritual/inspirational post on your blog and have not done so before, you will find instructions by clicking on Linking Info under the header picture.

WELCOME

Hello again friends. Did you notice that we now have 497 "followers"? I'm thinking probably by the end of the year it will be at least 500. Thank you to all who are faithful to follow this blog. You're the best.

If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to participate, you will find instructions by clicking Linking Info under the header picture. You may just want to click on the different links and be blessed by what someone else has shared. Do we agree with everything that everyone else shares? Of course not, but even if you disagree with something it is good to consider what others have to say and you might even change your mind. I hope that all will pray that God will guide you and give you insight into what He wants you to know. In the end that is the most important thing.

WELCOME

To all of you who live in the United States, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. If you don't live here, I wish you a happy thanksgiving anyway, because I'm pretty sure all of you are thankful whether it is a special day or not. Of course Christmas is not far behind. We usually put up our Christmas tree right after Thanksgiving. Wow, seems like we just took it down. LOL

If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like more information on what this blog is all about and how to participate, look under the header picture to find more info. Everyone is invited.

Welcome Friends

Welcome back. I confess I'm recovering from a case of the "blues".  I was pretty sure America would elect a new president but that did not happen. I have to keep reminding myself that although things in this world can be terrible that in the end God will make everything right. In fact, the Bible does say that things will get worse and worse before the end comes. It is just so frustrating to think that we re-elected a man who supports abortion any time for any reason, even partial birth abortion and even voted against a law that would require a "botched" abortion where the baby was born alive to go ahead and kill it because that was the intent of the abortion. And 'gay' marriage. Our economy is going off the cliff and now I don't have any hopes that it will turn around. There are just so many things I disagree with him on, but I'll get off my "soap box" now and get on with starting the linking.

Thank you to everyone who is so faithful to share with us. If you have not shared before and would like to, you will find instructions by clicking Linking Info under the header picture.

A WARM INVITATION

Welcome back. You are all warmly invited to share with us here each week. I'm amazed that so many are taking advantage of the opportunity to share you faith and inspiration with others each week. After four plus years I thought the number who share might drop off, but it stays consistently between 60 and 70 and sometimes more. A big thank you to all who participate. You're the best.

If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to share, you will find linking information by clicking Linking Info under the header picture. Everyone is invited.

WARMLY INVITED

I saw a church sign the other day that said "you are warmly invited to join us".  I thought that would  be a good invitation to use for this blog. You are warmly invited to link with us or just visit other links and be blessed in that way.

Those of you who have been sharing with us for a long while will probably remember when Kelee Katillac of Design Gives Back did a room makeover for cancer patient Colette. And we, at Spiritual Sundays along with others were privileged to help make it possible by making comments on this blog. I just received an e-mail from Kelee. Here is part of that message:
I wanted you all to know that Colette is still with us now 3 years later! It was 3 years this month that she received her 15% chance of survival -- -- for a few months -- diagnosis.
She is eternally grateful to all who have supported her. She is doing new experimental treatments.
She is proof that faith, hope and love do change things.
Thank-you to all.
Big Hug,
Kelee
This is wonderful news about Colette. We need to continue to pray for her and also for Charlie, another cancer patient whom we helped make his room makeover possible. Here is the link to Design Gives Back where you can find out more about these wonderful room makeovers.  http://www.designgivesback.com

And now, you are all warmly invited to join in sharing and being blessed.

Welcome Back Again

So here we are again and we are well into October. This is my favorite time of year, but it passes by so quickly. Life passes by so quickly. I'm sure you have noticed that the older you get the faster the time flies. I'm reminded of the scripture that says life is like a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. It is so true. It is a good reminder that we should stay focused on things that really matter in this life. But, I know, there are so many distractions. Hopefully coming here each week and spending some time visiting other blogs and reading what others have shared will be helpful in our quest to focus on important things.

If you have not linked before and would like to, you can click on Linking Info under the header picture for instructions. Everyone is welcome.

WELCOME BACK TO SPIRITUAL SUNDAYS

Thank you for all the nice comments and birthday wishes. I did have a wonderful birthday.

There are almost 500 people following this blog now. I'm thinking by the end of the year that number may be reached. Numbers don't necessarily mean a whole lot except that in this case it means more and more people are coming here and being blessed each week. I'm happy and thankful for that.

Thank you to those who share here on a regular basis. You are an inspiration to me. New people are always welcome too and we often have first time "linkers". If you would like to share a post on your blog by linking it here, you will find instructions by clicking Linking Info under the header picture.

Welcome

I've had an eventful week. Dishwasher broke and is not fixed yet, but good news is that it is still under warranty. Broke a piece off one of my crowns so it was a trip to the dentist. Good news it just needed to be filed and smoothed up. He didn't even charge me for it. And today is my birthday. So, it's time to celebrate. I hope all of you are having a good week.

Welcome to all new people who are just discovering this place of inspirational sharing. If you need information on linking, just click on Linking Info under the header picture.

We have some new prayer requests. You can find them by clicking Prayer Requests under the header picture. Be sure to let me know if you have a request you would like added.

Welcome Again

Welcome back to Spiritual Sundays. I appreciate the comments many of you made on the prayer question. I don't doubt that everyone who comes to this blog has plenty of people and things to pray for. I think it is a good idea to put prayer requests on comments you make here each week. You can also send me and e-mail (see on the sidebar) and I will add it to the Prayer Request page. I try to keep that page updated. If you see a request there that no longer needs to be included, I would appreciate if you would let me know so I can remove it. Some requests are ongoing but others are "short term" concerns.

Welcome to everyone who is new to Spiritual Sundays. If you would like to share a post on your blog, you will find instructions by clicking Linking Info under the header picture. Everyone is welcome.

Welcome Back

Time to begin linking again. I'm wondering how many people look at the Prayer Request page and pray for those listed there. I don't get very many requests e-mailed to me. I'm thinking maybe it is better to include requests in posts that are linked here if there is something or someone we believe needs special prayers. Please let me know what you think.

If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to share by linking here, you will find information  by clicking Linking Info under the header picture. Everyone is welcome.
P.S. After I posted the above I have added a few prayer requests to the Prayer Request page. Thank you for your input on this subject and for your prayers for me as well as for others.

Hello Again

So here we are again. The weeks fly by so fast. And now it is time to link again. With so much turmoil in the middle east, I hope we are all praying that things will settle down not get more out of hand than they already are. We live in a violent world and if we didn't believe that God knows and ultimately he will have the victory, we could get very depressed.

Thank you to everyone who has put a Spiritual Sundays link on your sidebar. I know it helps others to find this blog so that they too can be blessed by what all of you share here. There are five different buttons on the sidebar with the code for each one under it. I hope you will remember to put a link back to Spiritual Sundays on the post you share here. If you need more information about how to link, please click on Linking Info under the header picture for instructions.
P.S. Please check the Prayer Request page frequently for updates.

Welcome Back

Time to share again. I'm really impressed that so many continue to share with us each week. You inspire me and I know you inspire each other. Even though fall isn't officially here yet, it seems like fall and I'm beginning to get in the spirit of the season. Fall is my favorite and I know it is the favorite of lots of people.

Welcome Back

This is another holiday weekend for us in America. I know we will be busy but I'm happy for everyone who takes the time to share with us even on these busy weekends. Seems like it was just Memorial Day and now it is already Labor Day. I pray that God will help all of us to seek Him more each day and to do whatever we can to help others. Along with so many others, I pray for those affected by the storm in the gulf. There are floods in other parts of the world. It seems like there is some kind of "storm"going on for just about everybody. We need to remember to look to Him who is the only one who can really calm the storms of life.

Welcome to all those who have recently discovered this blog and are now sharing here. If you need information about whether you should share and how to do it, please click on Linking Info under the header picture for instructions.

Welcome

Here it is time to link again. New people are discovering this blog every week and it continues to bless many. Again, I thank you for all the nice comments you make to me. As the title of one of the links last time said: "It's not about me." That's the way I feel about this blog. It's not about me. It's really about Him and it's also about you. It's about each of us sharing with and encouraging each other.

Want to know more about this blog and how to participate? There are additional pages with explanations. You can click on them under the header picture. Let me know if you have further questions.

Welcome Back

Many times I use the words "Welcome Back" as the post title on this blog. Every time type it, I think of that old sitcom from back in the 70s, called Welcome Back Kotter. And I hear that little tune playing in my head. Those of you from other countries and those who are younger probably are not familiar with that show. This week another one of their former characters passed away. He was just in his 60s. He was a high school student in the sitcom. Another reminder of the brevity of life. Another reminder that fame and fortune are so temporary and as the wisest man who ever lived, Solomon said: "Fear God and keep His commandments for this is the whole duty of man." It is easy in our fast paced secular world to forget how true that is. So, this is just another little reminder.

So now, let's start linking again. If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to share, please click on Linking Info under the header picture for more information.

Hello Again

It's that time of the week. Time to start linking to this blog. I hope you are visiting as many links as you can. There is such a wonderful variety of inspirational posts. Last week we had 70 links. One person who started linking with us four years ago mentioned that back then we only had 10 or 12 links. It was easy to visit all the links then. It was even easy when there were 20 or so. Now the number has grown so that it is very hard to visit everyone. I confess that I don't always get around to visiting all of you. I hope you leave a comment when you do visit so they will know you were there. Everybody likes comments.

If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to share, please click on Linking Info under the header picture for instructions. Everyone is welcome.

Welcome

Hello again. Well, here it is August. School is starting in many places. Here in our area it won't be too long before people who have gone to cooler climates for the summer will be coming back to the desert and many from cold areas will be coming here for the winter. We're always happy to have the "snow birds" as they are called. But I guess I'm getting a little ahead of myself. Actually it is still summer here and plenty warm. I'm dreaming of that cooler weather. LOL

As I've said before, we are always happy to have new people link with us here on this blog. If you have not linked before, please read the instructions by clicking on Linking Info under the header picture.

Welcome Back

Here we are at the last weekend in July. And it's time to link again. I really do think each week goes by faster than the last one. Maybe it's because the days are starting to get shorter again. At least they are here in my part of the world.

New people are joining us each week, and I'm thankful for each and every one of you. If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to link here to share a spiritual/inspirational post, please read the instructions by clicking on Linking Info under the header picture.

Welcome Friends

The weeks just keep whizzing by. The Bible says "Life is like a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away." I realize how true this is more and more each day. We do get busy about many things but I'm glad that those who share here each week take time to pay attention to the important things. I believe focusing on how God has blessed our lives and sharing our hearts is pleasing to our Heavenly Father, and it certainly is helpful to us.

If you have not shared on Spiritual Sundays before and would like to link here, you will find instructions by clicking Linking Info under the header picture. It's a good idea to check and make sure the link works after you enter it. If you have a problem with it, let me know and I will help.

Welcome Again

Here we are back again. I hope everyone is having a good summer (or winter) whichever is the case in your part of the world. I'm getting better. I remembered that for some of you the temperature doesn't rise over 100ºF every day. In fact, I'm also pretty sure some of you calculate the temperature as celsius instead of fahrenheit. Here in the desert where we live the night time temps are in the high 80s at night so that means the air conditioner runs all night. So why am I blabbing on about the weather? Don't people do that when they don't have anything else to talk about?

Actually I do have something else to talk about. I want to talk about what a privilege it is to host this blog each week. How grateful I am to have gotten acquainted with so many wonderful bloggers through the sharing we do here each week. I hope you will visit as many links as you can. You will be blessed each time you go to a different blog. If you are new and would like to link, there is information under the header picture. Just click on Linking Info.

Welcome

Hello again. Boy, don't those weeks fly by? I want to thank you for the encouraging comments you make each week and especially this past week. I'm glad so many are being blessed by linking here. We have such an awesome God. I never would have dreamed a few years ago that I would be sitting here at the computer every Thursday night scheduling a post to go on Friday morning that would be a blessing to so many people. I really do like it that posts can be done ahead of time and go on automatically at whatever day or time you want.

If you would like to share by linking here and need information on how to do it, you can click on Linking Info under the header picture for instructions. As I always say ― everyone is welcome. ♥

Welcome Back

It's nice to see that the number of our followers continues to grow. More and more people are being blessed each week by sharing and reading what others share. There are so many prayer concerns that I could not possibly mention them all. I'm sure each one of you can think of a great number of people and circumstances you have been praying about. I just want to encourage you to keep on doing that. Of course we all need to be praying for the requests listed on our Prayer Request page. You can click on the link under the header picture. It will take you there.

It has been almost exactly four years since this blog was started. Those years sure went by fast. Some of you have been sharing here with us from the beginning. Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you also to all of you who have joined us more recently. You all make this ministry possible.

Friday, June 22, 2012

Hello Again

Yes, it really is time to share again. A big welcome to all newcomers who have just recently started sharing with us and to those who have shared in the past and have started sharing again. I'm constantly amazed that so many wonderful thoughts, scriptures, videos, photos, etc. are shared each week. I hope you take advantage of visiting as many of the links as you can. You will not be disappointed and you will certainly be blessed.

If you have not shared before and would like to, please read instructions by clicking Linking Info under the header picture.

Friday, June 15, 2012

Welcome Back

It's that time again. Time to share our inspirational heartfelt thoughts. I know many will want to pay tribute to fathers this weekend as Sunday is Father's Day in the U.S. I am reminded that not everyone who shares with us lives in the United States and their holidays are not always the same as ours. In fact, their seasons are not all the same as ours. Winter is beginning in some parts of the world as we are beginning Summer here. Wherever you are, we are so pleased that you are here right now reading this blog and hopefully planning to share with us by linking a post on your blog. Or perhaps just to read what others have shared - hopefully both.

If you have not shared before and would like to, please read linking information by clicking Linking Info under the header picture. It is a good idea to come back here and click on your link and make sure it works. Every week there are links that do not work. If there is a problem, let me know and I will fix it for you.

Friday, June 8, 2012

WELCOME

Time to start sharing again. Seems like I start this linky every other day. Actually it has been a whole week. LOL

I want to remind you to say an extra prayer for Michelle (micey) as she joins Mercy Ships and embarks on a wonderful adventure to serve people in Africa. She has been planning and looking forward to this week for a long time.

If you are new to Spiritual Sundays, I want to extend a big welcome to you. I know you will be blessed as you read what others have shared by linking here and you are welcome to link as well. Just read the Linking Info under the header picture.

Welcome to Spiritual Sundays

Wow, it's June already. People are busy with graduations, weddings, vacations, and lots of other stuff. I remember almost 4 years ago when Ginger and I started this blog we wondered if it would be better to start in the fall instead of July which was when we started. But, we decided not to wait and I'm glad we didn't. Although summer is a busy time, actually every season is a busy season. We are just busy people. No getting around it. That's one reason I'm so pleased that so many of you take time out of your busy schedules to share with us here. So, let's not let down just because it's summer (almost). Let's start linking.

If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to share something on your blog by linking it here, please click on Linking Info under the header picture for information.

Memorial Day Sharing

Memorial Day is here again. This is another American holiday. We do have several people from other countries who share with us on Spiritual Sundays. Sometimes I tend to forget this when talking about one of our holidays. This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. Even if your country doesn't celebrate this holiday, you probably have a day to remember those who have given their lives in service to their country.

One thing every country has in common is the one who died for every one of us. He is the reason for this blog. The crosses in the cemetery in the picture above is a reminder of this.

I'm glad you're here reading this post. I hope you will all be blessed whether by sharing a link to a post on your blog and/or by reading what others have shared.

As I state each week, if you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to link a post on your blog here, please read the instructions by clicking on Linking Info under the header picture. Everyone is welcome.

Welcome to Spiritual Sundays

So many special posts were shared last week for Mother's Day. Mother's Day is a happy time, but it is also a sad time for many. For some it is both happy and sad. You may have read the comment last week by Whidbey Woman, aka Coni. She has shared with us regularly for a very long time and now she is going through a very difficult time in her life and as a result is not blogging right now. Please pray for Coni and her family. In fact, I hope you will go to our Prayer Request page and pray for others on that list. I try to keep it updated. If you have a special request, please let me know and I will add it to the Prayer page.

If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to share something on your blog by linking it here, you will find instructions by clicking on Linking Info under the header picture. Everyone is welcome.

Welcome Back Again

Last week we had 83 entries. That is the largest number in a long time. We had a lot going on around our house last week and I didn't get around to visiting everybody although I did visit most of the links. I'm writing this on Thursday evening. After I schedule this to go on in the morning I'll visit a few more links. Each time I visit a different blog, I think Wow! I'm glad I didn't miss this one. They are all so good.

Sunday is Mother's Day. I want to take this opportunity to say "Happy Mother's Day" to all the mothers. My children and my hubby always make that day very special for me. I am looking forward to it.

If you are new to Spiritual Sundays and would like to share a post on your blog, please click on Linking Info under the header picture for information. Everyone is invited.

Blue Links

I'm assuming the links here on Spiritual Sundays show up the same on your computer as they do on mine. They are black until I click on them and then they are blue. So to start out, the links are all black. I want to give you a challenge this week to see how many of them you can turn to blue. Of course you could just click on each one, go to the blog and not actually read what was shared. That would be cheating and I know you wouldn't do that. It takes me several days to visit all the links. Most weeks they are all blue by Thursday but once in awhile a few black ones remain. I know it takes a lot of time to visit all the links and most people don't have that much time to devote to visiting other blogs. But ― I hope you do visit as many as you can because you will be blessed in doing so. I promise you.

I'm glad so many "liked" the new Facebook page for Spiritual Sundays. There are 34 likes now. The number of followers of this blog continues to grow as well. 450 is the number now. Linky followers and Facebook followers are also growing. Numbers in themselves are not important. The important thing is that they represent people and people are important.

If you have not shared here before and would like to, please click on Linking Info under the header picture for instructions. Everyone is welcome.

This linky list is now closed.
