WELCOME BACK

I hope everyone is eager to begin another sharing session. Your comments have been very encouraging for me. Some had wondered if we would continue with Spiritual Sundays since Ginger quit co-hosting. I plan to keep on as long as possible. Right now I don't see an end in sight. Of course one never knows for sure from one day until the next what tomorrow might bring. I hope the Lord continues to bless all of us as we share here each week. I would not be doing this if I didn't believe that He was blessing it. I'm pretty sure I would not have ever started a blog like this on my own. I believe it was providential that Ginger and I start it together. Those three plus years since we first started went by really fast.

We get new prayer requests quite regularly so be sure to click on the Prayer Request tab under the header picture and pray for those listed.

You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. - 1 Thessalonians 5:5-10 (NIV)

WELCOME FRIENDS

Well that week went by fast. Should be no surprise. They all do. So now it's time to link again for another sharing weekend. Linky Tools (not Mr. Linky) has added some new features. One of them is the grid for the links. I think it makes it easier to visit with each link in its separate little space. I also like that the links are black but after you click on them they turn blue. Makes it easier to remember which ones have already been visited. Of course that has been a feature for a long time. I just hadn't mentioned it. By the way, our links are provided now by Linky Tools and not by Mr. Linky. We changed this several months ago. They are two different link providers. And yet another cool feature is an e-mail confirmation that you linked to Spiritual Sundays. This is the first week for that. Let me know if you link and don't get a confirmation.
Note: it seems e-mails with aol.com and aim.com are being blocked by aol so if your e-mail falls into this category you won't get the e-mail confirmation. Linky Tools is working on it but don't know if it can be fixed.

Again I want to thank everyone who comes here to link or just to read what others have shared. You are all a blessing to me.

Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. - Ephesians 5:19 (NIV)

CHANGES

If you did not visit Spiritual Sundays last weekend, I hope you will go back and read Ginger's post explaining why she will no longer be co-hosting this blog. Perhaps if her circumstances change some time in the future she will resume co-hosting. We will all miss her input as she has been a vital part of this ministry since we began it over three years ago. I want to publicly say "thank you" to Ginger. It has been a delight working with her.

A few changes have been made here on Spiritual Sundays. One change is the prayer requests have been moved from the separate blog to a page on this one. This will make it easier to go there and pray for those listed. So now just click on PRAYER REQUESTS under the header picture and it will take you directly there. You won't be directed to a separate blog. New prayer concerns are posted regularly so I hope you will make it a habit when you're visiting this blog to regularly go there and pray. Another good idea is to put the Prayer Request button on your sidebar. Not only will it be convenient for you to go there to pray but others visiting your blog may click on it and add their prayers as well. The button is on the sidebar and the code is under it.

Please pray that God will continue to bless this blog and all who share here.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart - Hebrews 12:1-3 (Today’s NIV)
