You alone are the Lord. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship you. ~Nehemiah 9:6

Hello Everyone

Dear Spiritual Sunday bloggers,

This is the day that I need to share my heart with all of you. For the past 2 months my life has been extremely busy with our grandchildren and with life in general. I have always felt very guilty when I can't visit everyone and being the host in my heart I felt that visiting each blog is part of my job as a host. Working 40 hours a week 8 of them  every Saturday, and then church and then small groups on Sunday evenings and then the  grandchildren when ever possible it has just gotten harder and harder for me to visit everyone.
With many prayers and going back and fourth for the last couple of months I have decided to take a sabbatical from hosting Spiritual Sunday. I want to thank Charlotte for being so amazing at all that she does and for continuing to host Spiritual Sunday.  May God bless each and everyone one of you today and everyday. You have all blessed my life tremendously and I want to thank-you for that. I  do plan on participating when time allows me to do so, all of you are such a big part of my life that I can't nor do I want to just stop being a part Spiritual Sunday.

  5. Thank you for the many times you have visited my blog. It sounds like you are doing well with priorities and doing the right thing. ...Reminds me of something I heard a long time ago about Jesus calling us to come apart so that we don't fall apart!

  7. Hello Ginger,

I can totally relate to your being busy. I pray you will find the time once again to host Spiritual Sundays when the Lord frees up your schedule a bit. I'm swamped myself with my new job and all. I don't get to blog much anymore either. Well, hopefully we'll all speak with you again soon. Does this mean that Spiritual Sunday is going offline?

    Blessings,
    Judy

  11. Love Spiritual Sunday's and your servant heart. I think down deep inside we all know the pressures of blogging. In a way it is just crazy. I know I have felt ... if I don't visit other blogs and comment on them then the other bloggers won't come visit mine - and it defeats the purpose of me posting every day. But I think we have to look at the real reasons we blog. I recently took a few weeks off from both my blogs - and from visiting other blogs. I needed to focus on my kids and caring for my house instead of sitting in front of the computer. It was very 'freeing' - but sad in a way - people who visited me everyday when I posted - didn't even wonder where I was. In a way I felt like I could have fallen off the face of the world and it wouldn't have mattered. It kind of opened my eyes to the relationships we have built on line in comparison to the real world relationships. So that takes me back to the reasons we blog and how we measure success. Am I only a successful blogger if I have hundreds of followers . . . or am I success if I touch one persons heart? In many cases we won't know until heaven - how many people we have touched with the Gospel or what seeds have been planted - and blogging is the same. We shouldn't look for the number of comments or the number of visits -

Sorry to ramble and guess this was heavy on my heart today especially after reading your thoughts. We do what we can - and pray that God uses who we are and what we do to bring honor and glory to Himself. You have done that here - and I am sure will continue to do that whether blogging, hosting or visiting. Praying God continues to bless you and those around you.

  12. Ginger - Bless you as you make the changes in your daily schedule that are called for. So many responsibilities can spread us thin and make it hard to be best where it counts most. God leading, you will have more to share just where you're called first!

Thank you for your hosting presence - and I'm sure we've not heard the last from you!

    Joy!
    Miss Kathy

  15. Hi Ginger,
Thank you for hosting and providing an avenue for believers to come together and strengthen and encourage one another through his word. I understand the importance of time with family. Our grand babies grow up so quickly and early guidance from a loving grand mama is priceless.I am not able to participate as much as I would like either. We will miss you.

  23. Dearest Charlotte and Ginger, here I am once again to enjoy this quiet time of fellowship.

Even though the tragic events of September 11, 2001 are always with us, my heart has been particularly heavy as the tenth anniversary approached. It seems to always be that way when we are marking a special day of loss in our lives.

Ginger, I can so understand how you have struggled with visiting. I, too, work full time, and for years I struggled with visiting everyone on Pink Saturday. When it first began, and there were few participants, I so enjoyed visiting everyone. But, I finally had to admit that I can't do it. I did decide to continue it because it means so much to so many. I will keep you in my prayers. Thank you always to you and Charlotte.

  28. Blessings to you sweet Grandma! I so identify, being a grandmother of eleven and the twelfth on the way, being fulltime in ministry, etc. Sunday will be just as spiritual when we rest and enjoy Him! But I just came across your blog today! What fun to meet another "sister" in Christ!
